Sustainability Matters
At his 7 years building ZLINE Kitchen and Bath into a nationally recognized appliance leader, Galen pushed some of the first sustainability initiatives in the industry. Under his leadership, ZLINE was the first appliance company to partner with NZERO and track its carbon footprint in real time. Further, under Galen’s watch, ZLINE decreased its overall packaging materials by over 50%, and also presented an industry-first lifetime warranty on range hood motors. Products that are designed to last instead of being replaced is core to minimizing wasteful manufacturing practices. Galen believes that designing products for the full-lifecycle, including end of life, is a huge opportunity in business development and new ventures.
Music
Galen is a singer/songwriter and musician. Selling over 3 million musical mobile apps worldwide, Galen’s children’s musical recordings have been heard in over 100 countries. Hourly Rate, Galen’s most recent band collaborations are currently found on iTunes and Spotify as well as his multiple children’s albums from making learning apps.
